Osun Monarch pleads guilty to $4.2m COVID-19 relief fraud in US

The Apetu of Ipetumodu in Osun State, Oba Joseph Oloyede has pleaded guilty to charges of $4.2m COVID-19 relief fraud in the United States.

The 62-year old king was arrested in 2024 for his role in a scheme to fraudulently obtain $4.2m in COVID-19 relief funds.

He is currently facing possible prison sentences
