An aspirant for Ede/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), David Asaolu has claimed that the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele and other Senators in the National Assembly receive over N2bn each for any project facilitated in their constituencies.
Asaolu, popularly known as Asler, stated this while addressing a gathering in Osun State.
e claimed that no lawmaker has used their personal money to facilitate projects in their constituencies except the allocation given by President Bola Tinubu.
He said, “There’s no honourable member of the National house of assembly as of today that has a constituency project less than a billion naira.
“Before it was not as much as that,it just started last year. There’s no honourable member that goes to Abuja today despite the subsidy removal, our governors are getting more funds, same goes to honourable members and senators.
“When you see an honorable member doing empowerment, he’s not using his personal money. Tinubu’s wisdom has made life easier for us, he increased the allocation from less than N200m to more than N1bn, so far you are from Osun state.
“There’s no senator that has a constituency project of less than N2bn, we are not exposing anybody but this is the fact”.
