I’m a member of your delegation – Obi tells Tinubu

Adebayo Adenrele

The presidential candidate under the platform of Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election has said to President Bola Tinubu that he’s a member of his delegation.

Obi stated this at the Vatican during Pope Leo XVI’s installation mass on Sunday in Rome.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that Obi was introduced to the President by Ekiti State former Governor, Kayode Fayemi, who had told him to pay homage to the Nigerian Leader.

Fayemi said, “Mr President, welcome to our church and thank you for honouring the Pope with your presence”.

Tinubu appreciated Fayemi and Obi, saying it was his duty to welcome the duo.

“I should be the one welcoming you and Peter. I’m the Head of the Nigerian delegation”.

Obi replied, “Yes indeed, we are members of your delegation”.
