BREAKING: Residents, Vehicles stranded as flood takes over Ekiti street

Adebayo Adenrele

Residents and motorists plying Ayemi area along Iworoko Road in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, were stranded on Tuesday following a heavy downpour that led to severe flooding.

NEWSTODAYNG reports around 7:30pm that the flood, which has overflowed the bridge in the area, left road users frustrated and unable to pass.

Despite several rehabilitation efforts on the bridge, the structure continues to pose significant risks to lives and property, raising concerns about the sustainability of government interventions.

Residents have expressed their disappointment over the recurring issue, calling on the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, to intervene urgently.
