JDPI, NUJ set for public presentation of assessment on Senate Leader, others

The Justice Development and Peace Initiative (JDPI),Catholic Diocese of Ekiti in collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council is set for a public presentation of the report of independent assessment carried out on the lawmakers representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District.

The lawmakers are, Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Steve Fatoba and Biodun Omoleye.

According to a statement by the Director, JDPI, Reverend Father Emmanuel Akingbade and the NUJ Chairman, Kayode Babatuyi, the exercise will come up on Tuesday, 1st July, 2025, at the NUJ secretariat, Old Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti by 10am.

According to the statement, the assessment is part of strategies to hold leaders accountable, promote good governance, community development and civic participation.

Dignitries expected at the event are, Chairmen of political parties, traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, market women and relevant bodies.
