A Ghanaian woman has sparked widespread debate on social media after accusing Nigerians of contributing significantly to rising instability and negative perceptions across Africa.
In a viral video, the unidentified speaker called on Nigerians to reflect on their global reputation, particularly in light of increasing restrictions and bans imposed on Nigerian nationals in several countries.
The speaker lamented what she described as a toxic culture of arrogance, disrespectband lawlessness that she believes some Nigerians exhibit abroad.
While acknowledging that not all Nigerians are problematic, she said the “bad apples” have done so much damage that the good ones are now barely visible.
“You guys collectively need to come together and realize that you are the common denominator. We are not all going mad. Countries banning Nigerians are not reacting irrationally , they are responding to patterns.
“You have now been banned from Dubai, America, South Africa and even Ghanaians are trying to get rid of you”. She said
She also condemned the alleged restriction on women owning land unless represented by a male relative.
The lady also claimed that the influx of Nigerians into Ghana has coincided with an increase in crime and prostitution.
