…Ekiti Council describes appointment as round peg in a round hole
The immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Labour Matters to the National President of the Union, Comrade Alhassan Yahya.
In a statement, the Ekiti State Council, in a statement co-signed by the the Chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi and the Secretary, Comrade O’Seun Ogunsakin, hailed his appointment, describing it as a reward for commitment to the growth of the Union.
The Union described the Ojomoyela who was a two-time chairman of Ekiti Council as a seasoned journalist whose wealth of experience and expertise fit into the new position.
Ekiti NUJ added that the former Chairman’s appointment is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and commitment to the journalism profession.
” Ojomoyela’s appointment is good news to us in Ekiti NUJ. It is a reward for his sacrifices and commitment to the growth of NUJ in Ekiti State and Nigeria. We have no doubt that his counsel and insight will significantly contribute to the growth and development of the NUJ under the President’s leadership. We congratulate Ojomoyela on this well-deserved appointment and wish him all the best as he embarks on this new responsibility. His expertise will undoubtedly be invaluable to the NUJ’s continued success”, the Union said.
Ojomoyela’s appointment was announced by the Union’s President, Alhassan Yahya at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Union held in Kano, Kano State.
