The Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri has reportedly resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) alongside 23 members of the State’s House of Assembly.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah.
Although details of the move remain sketchy as sources suggest that the Governor and the lawmakers may be preparing to officially announce their defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the coming days.
