The All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced the timeline and activities leading to the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Election.
The party also announced the electoral officers to conduct the elections whose portfolios include Delegate Congress Committee, the Delegate Congress Appeal Committee, Local Government Delegate Returning Officers as well as the Secretariat Team.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists by the Publicity Secretary of the Party in Ekiti, Segun.
The statement continues, “Going by the timelines, the relevant dates and actions are as follows: Announcement of Electoral Officers: The party has appointed electoral officers for the Delegate Congress elections.
“Friday Briefing: A briefing will be held on Friday, detailing the various activities leading to the elections scheduled for Saturday, 25th October, and Monday, 27th October.
“Delegate Congress Elections (Saturday, 25th October): The Delegate Congress elections will take place using option A4. In instances where there is only one candidate for each position, the election shall be conducted by affirmation.
“Appeal Process (Sunday, 26th October):There will be an opportunity for appeals arising from the Delegate Congress elections on Sunday.
“Ratification of Agreements (Monday, 27th October): The elected delegates will ratify the conscientious agreement on Monday, 27th October.
“Declaration of Results: Following the declaration of the results, the winner will be announced and will be expected to present an acceptance speech”.
