Omoseyindemi made this plea in Ado-Ekiti during a stakeholders meeting held at the Commission’s Headquarters, Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.

According to the REC, the exercise which began on 25 August 2025, has been peaceful and orderly across the state. adding that the first phase is expected to run until 10th December, 2025.

He therefore urged eligible members of the public to update their details including changes of names, addresses, and polling units, before the end of Phase One.

According to him, the claims and objections would hold on 15 December 2025, describing it as a crucial step towards ensuring transparency and accuracy of voter data and encouraged stakeholders to participate actively and monitor the process for possible irregularities.

While appealing for continued sensitization to ensure wider participation. Dr. Omoseyindemi disclosed that Phase Two of the CVR will commence on 5 January 2026, providing another opportunity for citizens who could not register during the phase one.

He emphasized that the success of the CVR depends on collaboration and vigilance, urging partners to keep informing the public and build confidence in the process.

His words, “Phase 1 of CVR started on 25th August 2025 and will run until 10th December 2025. During this period, eligible citizens are encouraged to register as voters or update their details, such as name changes, addresses, or polling units. We ask for your support in mobilizing citizens and ensuring they have access to registration points.
