The Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ekiti State Chapter, Rev Emmanuel Aribasoye has urged journalists in Ekiti State to desist from bitterness and thrive to be answers to the prayers of the masses.
The CAN Chairman gave this advice on Wednesday during new year prayer and the January, 2026 Congress of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council.
He urged the journalists not to be embittered by the success of other people, saying this would enable God to bless them beyond imagination.
His words, “Let me warn you, don’t be embittered towards people’s success. If you are beclouded by bitterness, you will get the chance to see what God has done for you.
“Don’t rise to the detriment of others, don’t let your success come from the downfall of others. Be answers to people’s prayers and God will also reward you in return”.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi appreciated journalists for their support over the last two years since his inception into office.
He confirmed that under his leadership, the council has achieved series of successes such as the completion of a functioning guest house, bar, among others.
