A Pan-African Organisation under the auspices of Neo Black Movement of Africa (NBM) has awarded cheques of N300,000 to ten widows whose husbands were members of the organisation.
NBM is a registered organisation aimed at promoting African culture, social justice, equality and humanitarian services while also fighting against corruption and neo-colonialism.
Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the President of the Association, Ademola Ojo said the cheque presentation was part of the itinerary of their charity visit to wives of their fallen heroes in order to take care of their families.
He maintained that the gesture has been a running program of the organisation to look out for the family members of their deceased members who had fought against corruption and neo-colonialism during their lifetime on earth.
His words, “As an organisation, we dim it fit to look after the families of our fallen brothers who were part of the struggle before they left this world.
“This is not a one-off event, we have been doing it and we will continue to do it. This is just a charity visit to let them know that they are not alone and we will continue to do everything possible to make sure they are not alone”.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Local Intelligence, who also doubles as the OC Legal of the group, Ekiti Zone, Folorunsho Ajayi, reiterated the commitment of the organisation to looking after the welfare of the family members of their fallen heroes, adding that gesture like this would bring succour to their families.
