Report reaching NEWSTODAYNG says that a yet-to-be-identified man was found dead on Thursday morning close to the Tosin Aluko’s Garage, located along Ajilosun in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital.
The lifeless body was discovered in the early hours of the day when residents noticed a cadaver lying by the roadside.
According to eyewitnesses, they said the deceased appeared to have been tied before his death, alleging that the man might have been beaten and restrained prior to his death.
The sources suggested that the circumstances surrounding the incident pointed to a possible act of punishment, although details remain sketchy and unverified.
Operatives of the Ekiti State Police command later arrived at the scene and evacuated the body in a patrol vehicle after cordoning off the area for preliminary investigations.
As of the press time of filing this report, the police had not issued an official statement regarding the identity of the deceased or the cause of death.
