A Business and Leadership Consultant, Isaac Ajisafe, has urged entrepreneurs in Ekiti and Nigeria at large to stop blaming the government and other external factors for their challenges, calling instead for personal responsibility and ownership of their business journeys.

Ajisafe made the call on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti, while convening the 2026 edition of the Mindshift Conference (TMC) themed ‘Ownership: Dominate Your Outcomes’.

Speaking with journalists, he said the purpose of the conference was to empower participants to take control of their destinies and businesses, rather than shifting blame on the government and economy.

The Business Expert noted that taking responsibility does not only make them independent in their choices but also make them the determinants of their own future without any compromise.

His words, “I’m just glad because the purpose of the Conference has been fulfilled and the purpose is to show people what they can do so that they can stop blaming the government, their Sisters, Uncles Aunties and take ownership of their journey, destiny and business.

“The moment we stop blaming people, government, family members or circumstances, we become empowered to achieve our goals”.

Another highlight of the conference was the empowerment of 10 selected Entrepreneurs among the participants to receive financial support to expand their ventures, the funds which according to him was designed to help scale viable businesses based on defined needs.

Also speaking at the conference, the General Overseer of the House of Faith Christian Centre, Ado Ekiti, Rev Tunde Afe urged the entrepreneurs and students to embrace artificial intelligence, warning that many traditional courses are becoming obsolete and advised parents to guide their children towards the emerging trends.

In his remarks, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, John Alake emphasized the role of discipline and strong values in achieving greatness, noting that vision without action and a solid value system would not lead to success.

He urged the entrepreneurs to cultivate the value of discipline and a sound philosophy of life to attain their goals.
