Schools around Akure Airport, Ilu Abo and neighbouring communities have been closed abruptly after gunmen reportedly shot sporadically and kidnapped one person.
According to reports, parents of the school children claimed that there was sporadic gunshots around 10:00am on Monday and in the process the Managing Director of a commercial farm, Joseph Aladesuyi was kidnapped at Kajola village in Ilu Abo near Akure Airport.
The kidnapped MD is also the Secretary to the Okeluju LCDA under the Akoko North West Local government area, while two others were also abducted around the Akure Airport.
