A 21 year old boy identified simply as Chukwudi, is on the run after killing parents with matchet for refusing to give him money in Anambra.
The couple, Mr and Mrs Micheal Ulor, were found dead with matchet cuts in their residence in Nnewichi Nnewi along St Peter road, on Thursday, September 22, three days after they were attacked by their only son in Nnewi area of Anambra.
According to reports, trouble started after the deceased refused to give the suspect money. He was said to have hacked them to death before he fled to an unknown destination.
The corpses were reportedly discovered by neighbours, who started perceiving offensive smell from their bedroom. They also claimed that Chukwudi is a drug addict and known for taking Mkpurummiri (Methamphetamine).
Confirming the incident in a statement on Friday, September 23, the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said: “The commissioner of police, CP Echeng Echeng, has ordered an immediate manhunt of the suspect.
He further directed the immediate transfer of the case to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.”
