The National President of the Gospel Musician Association of Nigeria (GOMAN), Pastor Philip Olayiwola, has said Gospel music is a strong tool for national renaissance that brings sanity to the world.

Speaking with Journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, he explained that spiritual hymns is a guide and God-giving commandments to propagate the word of God.

The GOMAN President said the association which was formed over 40-year ago, has about ten thousand members all over the country whose aim is to propagate the gospel of God in Nigeria and the world as large.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman GOMAN Anniversary Committee, Ekiti State, Pastor Ebun Famubode, emphasised the importance of Gospel music in christian religion.

Famubode explained that Gospel music apart from evangelism win more souls, and also help in rebranding Christians.

She quoted several passages from the Holy Bible to support her claims while reiterating the readiness of the association to continue in spreading the message of love, hope faith and compassion.

Speaking further on the programme slated to hold in Great Convenant Centre, Ado-Ekiti, she explained that the event would also featured activities such as presentation of awards, thanksgiving service, rally and procession, among other activities.

She disclosed that a former National President GOMAN, Evangelist Bola Are and Funmi Aragbaye, were among other Gospel musicians that would be in Ekiti for the 20th Anniversary of GOMAN, Ekiti State Chapter.

Others notable musicians mentioned by her are Apostle Timi Orokoya, Funmi Aragbaye, Kayode Afolabo.
