Renowned Nigerian filmmaker and actress, Funke Akindele, has officially launched her film production house, known as The Funke Akindele Network (FAAN).

The celebrated actress made the exciting announcement through a post on her Instagram account, sharing her enthusiasm for her latest venture and referring to FAAN as a “powerhouse.”

It was gathered that, the new venture, aims at providing a comprehensive approach to filmmaking and production, encompassing all aspects of film and media production.

Akindele described FAAN as a 360-degree media house that will not only handle film production but also offer PR solutions for films.

The actress also revealed that The Funke Akindele Network has already been involved in the filming of the 2022 comedy-drama “Battle on Buka Street,” which became the highest-grossing Nollywood film, raking in ₦640 million and was later made available on Prime Video earlier in 2023.

Excitingly, Akindele announced her upcoming project, “A December To Remember,” titled “A Tribe Called Judah.”

The storyline for the holiday drama remains undisclosed, but the film boasts an all-star cast, featuring prominent actors such as Jide Kene Achufusi, Timini Egbuson, Uzee Usman, and more.

“A Tribe Called Judah” is scheduled to make its theatrical debut on December 15, 2023, in cinemas nationwide, and it is eagerly anticipated by fans of Nollywood and Funke Akindele’s work.
