Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that his political journey was divinely orchestrated by God, emphasizing that he was first promoted by God before the leaders and members of his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), supported his candidacy.
Speaking at the 2024 Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Governor Fubara expressed confidence in God to make his success permanent.
The governor, addressing the theme of the rally, “Promotion for a Purpose,” described it as a personal gift, as it resonates with his own story.
He acknowledged the role of God in his political elevation and pledged to return the success in thanksgiving.
Governor Fubara extended special gratitude to the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, for choosing Port Harcourt for the special Holy Ghost rally and offering blessings at the beginning of each year.
He promised continued government support for the success of the rally and urged RCCG to pray for his administration to achieve its purpose of governance.
In his address of welcome, Pastor Belemina Obunge, the intercontinental youth pastor of RCCG, acknowledged the support received from the state government for hosting the rally.
The event prophetically coincided with the birthday of Governor Fubara, adding a significant dimension to the celebration.
