Atlanta striker, Ademola Lookman has secured the semi final ticket for the super eagles of Nigeria with his lone goal, in the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Just as he scored brace against Cameroon in the round of sixteen, his lone goal in the 40th minute tonight paved the way for Nigeria, making it the first time for the team to win four consecutive matches since the inception of the competition.
Osimhen also scored in the second half of the match but was ruled out for offside.
As it stands, the winner between South Africa and Cape Verde will face Nigeria in the semi finals.
