The Kano State Government has filed new charges against the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the erstwhile Commissioner for Justice, Musa Lawan.
The charges were officially registered under case No. K/143c/24.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that, the state government has accused Ganduje and Lawan of criminal conspiracy and misappropriation, actions that allegedly violate Section 308 and are punishable under Section 309 of the Penal Code (as amended) CAP 105, Vol. 2, the Laws of Kano State of Nigeria. Additionally, the offences are contrary to and punishable under Section 97 and Section 315.
According to the charge sheet, the state government is alleging that Ganduje and Lawan abused their offices during their tenure. To substantiate these claims, the prosecution has indicated that it plans to present four witnesses.
As of now, no date has been set for the arraignment of Ganduje and Lawan.
