Taiwo Olatunbosun, the Commissioner for Information in Ekiti State and former National Assembly member, Bimbo Daramola, have urged media practitioners to continue supporting Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration.
The duo spoke separately when they attended the February edition of the Congress of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council presided over by its Chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi.
Addressing the gathering, Taiwo Olatunbosun acknowledged the strong bond between the state government and media, saying Oyebanji values this partnership.
He emphasized the governor’s commitment to journalists’ welfare, urging them to reciprocate with responsible journalism.
On his part, Bimbo Daramola, popularly known as Congressman, described journalism as the eyes and ears of the people whose impact on shaping the society cannot be qualified praising journalists’ positive impact on the state.
Daramola pledged his support for their welfare, urging them to uphold professionalism and fairness.
He also backed Oyebanji’s re-election bid, citing achievements in health, education, infrastructure, and human capital development.
