…as Ambassador Bejide laments deplorable state of roads
About two hundred members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ikole Ekiti have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Receiving the defectors in Odo Ayedun Ekiti, Ikole Local Government , the governorship candidate of ADC in Ekiti State, Ambassador Dare Bejide, lamented the deplorable state of the Ikole road, saying it would be one of his priorities if voted for during the June 20th election.
Ambassador Bejide noted he would prioritize the welfare of the people, focusing on electricity, quality healthcare, quality education, and food security.
He explained that the ADC’s manifesto is designed to cater for the needs of the people, regardless of their political or religious affiliations.

The Deputy Governorship Candidate, Chief Ayodeji Babatola, told the gathering that the party would bring good governance closer to the people and ensure they are involved in decision-making.
On his own, Ekiti State Chairman of ADC, Mr Ilesanmi Omolayo welcomed the defectors, promising they would be treated equally and enjoy the same benefits as existing members.
The ADC Chairman in Ikole Local Government, Mr. Olaiya Oluwasanjo, alleged that residents weren’t feeling the government’s presence, highlighting the need to support Ambassador Bejide’s candidacy.

A former Commissioner in Ekiti State, Chief Segun Akinwunmi, decried the lack of autonomy for local governments, saying it hinders rural development and urging residents to vote for the ADC candidate.
