The Nigeria Labour Congress, Ekiti State Council, today, re-elected Comrade Kolapo Olatunde as the Chairperson of the union at the 7th State Delegates Conference.

No fewer than 29 affiliate unions came together to unanimously elect the new executives that will pilot the affairs of the union in the next four years.

The elected officials include; Comrade Kolapo Olatunde, Chairperson, Comrade Oke Emmanuel, Vice Chairperson, Comrade Olumide Jegede, Vice Chairperson, Comrade Olubunmo Olaide, Treasurer.

Others are; Comrade Fasiku Adedayo, Auditor, Comrade Oluwatayo Ayegbusi, Auditor, Comrade Ekundayo Funmilayo, Ex Officio, Comrade Ayeni Aduke, Ex Officio.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Olatunde pledged to prioritise the welfare of workers while calling on union members to embrace peace for the benefit of workers in the state.

Meanwhile, the Returning Officer for the delegate conference and National Vice President of NLC, Comrade Sunday Adeleye appreciated the Ekiti State Governor for prompt payment of workers salaries.
