The members of the minority caucus in the Senate across party lines, have given President Muhammadu Buhari a six-week ultimatum to end insecurity in the country or face impeachment.
The Senators had earlier walked out of the chambers today in protest against the Senate President’s refusal to allow lawmakers commence an impeachment process against the President.
The senators, had held a two-hour closed session, them got angry that the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan did not permit them to discuss the issue of insecurity that was deliberated upon extensively, in the closed session.
The Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Phillip Aduda, had moved a point of order seeking to discuss insecurity on the floor of the Senate but, Lawan ruled him out of order
