The Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Ekiti state council, Kayode Babatuyi has called on corps members deployed to the state to change their perspective and create wealth for their selves through the use of new media.
He said this today in a speech presentation tagged “how you can become an independent journalist, work and make money your self without disturbing anybody” during the Editorial community development service, CDS in NYSC secretariat, basiri.
He stated that corps members especially those who studied mass communication should create their personal news blog, word press and venture into good content creation.
He also noted that, journalism will create fortune and wealth for those who practice it with passion and diligence.
In his words, “when you practice journalism with passion and do it well you will be recognized, you will make fortune for yourself and create good will for your self.
“If people attack any of the NUJ member for writing report about them , NUJ will attack and speak for its member”
