“In the same vein, emphasis is tenaciously laid on modest and decent dressing. I will like to advise
you to show respect for your colleagues and Staff of the Polytechnic. In all, I enjoin you to remain focused and ensure that your studies take priority over all other activities on this Campus.

“I do understand that higher Institution is a place where you enjoy a lot of freedom, but sometimes that freedom often comes with some corresponding obligations.” He said

Alake while addressing the students, stated that the Institution’s watchword is to disseminate qualitative and practical knowledge for meaningful contribution to local and national technological development, hence the need for students to be developed for sustainable technological growth of Nigeria.

He further urged that the students should utilize their time wisely in order for them to achieve the best in whatsoever professional of their choice.

“Many students have, as a result of their carelessness and the fact that they are far from the guiding and monitoring eyes and control of their parents/guardians, allowed the illusion of freedom of being in a higher Institution of learning lure them away from the path of seriousness and commitment to studies.

“You must therefore strive at all cost to resist the temptation to abuse your newly found freedom.” He said.
