Former Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard has returned to the club as caretaker until the end of season after they sacked Potter.
NEWSTODAYNG garnered that Chelsea spent around £323m this season for eligible players but was still unable to get good results.
The return of Lampard was announced on the club’s Twitter page earlier today.
According to Lampard when being interviewed, “I will do my best, then we will see what happens. So it won’t be my decision [long-term]. I understand I will be asked a lot, I’ve got my eyes open. I’m excited as there’s lot of talent here.
“It was easy to accept this job for me; this is my club.”
