The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji has announced the immediate commencement of construction of the 45 units of convenience facilities in the State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp, Ise-Orun/Emure.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Youth Development Gold Adebayo, at a special brief with the corps members of the Batch B stream 1 orientation course, following the toilet collapse at the camp.

Oyebanji assured corps members of his resolute commitments to ensuring that the camp wears a new and State-of-Art look under his administration.

Speaking further, the Governor expressed regrets over the injured corps members from the incident and pledged against a reoccurrence.

On his part, the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Government on special projects, Tope Ogunleye said Oyebanji has mandated all relevant project units of the government to report to the camp for work, with assurance that excavation commences effectual from Monday July 15, 2024.

In his words, ” His Excellency is given to repairing, renovating and remodeling your camp”.

Present at the brief were the State coordinator, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, the Camp Director, Adeyinka Jinado, alongside all assistant directors and camp officials.
