The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 31-year-old man, Monday Alfred, for allegedly possessing human parts.

Alfred, in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, was arrested on Wednesday at about 2.15 p.m. by a patrol team from Imota Division, on Ori-Okuta Old Shagamu Road.

He said the team observed that two young men on a motorcycle with registration number JBG 276 VU were on top speed heading towards Shagamu from Imota.

According to the statement, “One of the suspects jumped down and ran into the bush as soon as they were stopped by the patrol team.

“They were given a hot chase, which led to the arrest of Monday Alfred of Isale-Aye Araromi Imota, who was the motorcycle rider.

“Upon thorough search of the black sack found with them, two cut hands suspected to be human parts were found in a liquid suspected to be alcohol in a plastic bucket,” the police spokesman said.

Hundeyin said the motorcycle, one Tecno, and one Vivo mobile phones were also recovered from the suspect, adding that efforts were ongoing to arrest the suspect who escaped.
