The federation of Ekiti state student Union (FESSU), General Miami has called on new and returning students of Ekiti state university( Eksu) to imbibe the spirit of excellence even as they strive to make up for the lost time.


Comrade Abel in a press release expressed his happiness and joy as the institution has called for the resumption of the school for academic purposes.


In a statement signed by Hon. Tejumola Afilaka Esq. made available to press men, General Miami thanked the state government and the management of the institution for doing everything to ensure the institution is back on track for academic activities.


The statement reads in part: “In reference to this news, the Federation of Ekiti State Student Union(FESSU) National President Elect in person of Comr. Abel Adewale AJIBADE famously address as GEN. MIAMI sincerely appreciates the State Government for their timely intervention in the ongoing ASUU Strike, and also the University Management for their dedication and advocacy of interest of the Students of Ekiti State University.


He also encourage the students of Ekiti State University not to relent in their studies and also to make diligent use of this rare opportunity that has been given to them.


During the press briefing, he appreciated all Ekiti State Students that trusted his Agenda for a REVAMP FESSU and voted for him to represent the Prestigious FESSU Body and thereby promise that he would not let them down.

Recall that the Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs in a memo released stated that the conclusion of lectures for second semester of 2020/2021 academic session have been scheduled to hold between Thursday, 22nd September and Friday, 21st October, 2022, while the second semester examination for the 2020/2021 academic session would hold between Monday, 24th October and Saturday, 5th November, 2022.

Meanwhile, lectures for 100 level students admitted for 2021/2022 academic session will commence on Monday, 3rd October, 2022.
