The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji on Wednesday promised to strengthen the state’s emergency response capacity.
The Governor said this during a courtesy visit to Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib Ahmed and the board of Directors at NEMA headquarters in Abuja.
Oyebanji said the purpose of the visit was to discuss proactive measures to strengthen emergency response capacity in Ekiti
Disclosing the subject of discussion with the management of NEMA in his twitter handle on Wednesday, Oyebanji said, “We discussed a number of pressing issues relating to emergency management and disaster response in Ekiti State and identified areas where we need to do more in order to ensure safety and well-being of our people especially giving the early arrival of the rainy season.
“My administration remains irrevocably committed to ensuring safety and security of the people of Ekiti State and will continue to work tirelessly to boost our readiness to handle emergencies.”
