The Executive Governor of Ekiti State Biodun Oyebanji has noted the government awareness of the numerous challenges confronting the NYSC in the state and it’s willingness to assist.

The Governor, represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Development and the Chairman NYSC Governing Board, Hon. Adedayo Gold Adesola made this known during the swearing-in and official opening ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Corps Members deployed to Ekiti State at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun/Emure, Ekiti.

According to him, “The government is aware of the infrastructural deficit at the orientation camp, lack of multipurpose hall especially for lectures, lack of permanent office secretariat at the State capital amongst others.

“I have been informed that these problems have persisted unabated due to inadequate corresponding resource provisions. On our part, the State shall continue to assist the NYSC within the links of our resources. The NYSC in Ekiti deserves more and we’ll do everything within our power to put smiles on your faces.”, Hon. Gold asserted.

Hon. Adedayo commended the NYSC Ekiti State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu and his team for doing a good job since assumption of duty.

“I salute your steadfastness and foresight in making sure that the Ekiti State NYSC develop in all ramifications. I appreciate your tenacity and courage in steering NYSC Ekiti State to greater heights within the little period.”, he added.

Speaking at the occasion, The Commissioner congratulated the newly sworn-in corps members for successfully scaling through the hurdles and rigours of academic pursuits in various higher institutions of learning.

He equally praised the corps members for their hard work and perseverance, adding that corps members should brace themselves in the discharge of their duties to serving Nigeria.
