Nigerian Singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has opened up about his decision to drop out of medical school during his final year, citing mental exhaustion and a desire to pursue his passion in music.

He opened up about his decision to drop out of medical school during his final year in a recent interview on the Zero Conditions Podcast.

The artist revealed how mentally drained he felt studying Medicine and Surgery in Ukraine, expressing that he was completely done with the course and desired to follow his passion in music.

His words: “I got tired for real, for real. I never felt like that in my life. I was done, like everything about me, in my head I was done with medicine. And that was when I was about to start my final year, so it was a lot. I had written my first MD already at the time. It wasn’t about how long I had left at the time; it was about me not wanting to do anything again. I didn’t want to do it anymore.”

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the artist pursued his medical studies at the Odessa National University in Ukraine until his fifth year, when the challenges of Medical School overwhelmed him, leading to his return to Nigeria.

Confiding his decision with his mother, sharing his struggles and the desire to return, she gave him one condition for his return, which was to get his results to show he went to school.

Despite facing whispers and rumors after his return, Peruzzi has said that he holds no regrets about his decision to drop out of medical school.
