The Lagos State Police Command has discovered the lifeless body of a woman identified as Muinat, 46 in one of the rooms of a guest house in Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The Police spokesman in Lagos State, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the discovery while speaking to Newsmen on Monday.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the manager of the guest house reported the case to the police in Ikorodu, adding that the woman was lodged by one Alfa Sule.

He added that Muinat arrived at the guest house on Friday on a motorcycle ridden by Alfa Sule (of unknown address) and discovered her lifeless body while going around the rooms on Saturday at about 6:00 am but, Alfa Sule was nowhere to be found.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin said: “There were no marks of violence on the woman; the said Alfa Sule was nowhere to be found but abandoned his Bajaj motorcycle.

“The police visited the scene and found the corpse with foam oozing out of her nostrils.

“Photographs of the scene and body were taken before the corpse was removed and deposited at Ikorodu General Hospital for autopsy.”

SP Benjamin Hundeyin added that the case would be transferred to the Homicide unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
