The Ekiti State National Orientation Agency, NOA Director, Olawumi Famuyiwa has joined people across the world to felicitate Muslim faithful in the State and country, urging them not to deviate from the lessons learnt throughout the holy season.

Famuyiwa, in a statement by the Spokesperson of the Agency, Ronke Samo praised Allah for giving them the strength and enablement till the time of Crescent moon which signifies the end of Ramadan fasting and ushers in Eid-el-fitri celebration

According to her, “It was a great privilege to observe the period, which is adjudged the holy and merciful month. I urge you not to deviate from the teachings and lessons learnt during the period of the fasting but continue to reflect on them daily.

“Ramadan as a spiritual concept of Prophet Mohammed (SWT) is a time for repentance and exhibiting great fear of Allah by showing love and kindness to fellow men.”

While acknowledging that Islam is a religion of peace and love, she urged Muslims to continue in all the pious and righteous ways associated with Ramadan, adding that tolerance and peaceful co-existence should be a way of life for all as government attempts to find solution to the myriad of problems facing the country.

She therefore called on Muslims and all Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of the transition to a new administration come May 29.
