The Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Bolaji Owasanoye, has called on Nigerian Youths to hold on to God for blessing rather than taking to crime to enrich themselves.
Owasanoye, who stated this during a sermon in Abuja, said several youths were leaving Nigeria because they felt life was better there rather than waiting for the plan and purpose of God for their lives.
He added that some people would also go extra miles to lie about their conditions, and change their names, in a bid to leave the country.
In his words, “Going out of Nigeria does not guarantee that they will be successful; it is the blessing of God that makes the difference,” he said.
Owasanoye stated that some people had acquired assets for themselves that they could not even see or enjoy in their lifetime because of greed hence, paralyzing the nation.
