The Camp of Governor Nyesom Wike have been reported to have told the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar during their meeting in London, to sign one-term agreement and earn their support towards his victory at the electioneering polls.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that one of their demands includes the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia, adding that Ayu should be given a dignified exit and should be included in the new PDP government if it wins the 2023 presidential election.

The Camp also demanded that Ayu’s replacement should come from the South-West.

However, the likelihood that Atiku agreed to serve as one-term president and allow power shift to the South in 2027 was not yet confirmed.

The camp equally requested to produce the Senate President and some Principal officers of the National Assembly, while members of the Wike camp will be appointed to key ministerial positions and also heads of Federal parastatals and agencies.

Wike’s camp thereby, pledged to market Atiku and also provide logistics for the general campaign, if he agree to their demands.

A source said, “It was also agreed that media hostilities should cease and this was largely responsible for the statement Atiku caused his Media Office to issue on Thursday.”

“Atiku was left with little room to negotiate, he was outnumbered and the open solicitation by the candidates of the Labour Party and the All Progressives Congress, Mr Peter Obi and Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu did not help matters.”
