A Nigerian student (name withheld ) in Sudan has cried out as she and thousands of her colleagues are currently stranded in the country amidst a deadly conflict.
According to the Lady, Nigerians who are in Khartoum, the capital, are stranded in the war as no Nigerian is permitted to cross through the border of Ethiopia.
She therefore called on the Federal Government and Diplomats at the Ethiopian border for quick evacuation.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that violent clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been raging in the capital, Khartoum and in other strategic areas throughout the country.
It’s also gathered that the country is rattling its neighbours and other countries for reasons ranging from concern about shared Nile waters and oil pipelines to the shape of a new government and a new humanitarian crisis in the making.
