Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped again in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday following their poor performances in the 2026 world cup qualifiers.

The 3-time African champions were in the top 20 of the World rankings after the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

However, the poor performance demonstrated in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers slipped the team drastically to the 39th position.

According to the latest rankings, Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped to the 39th position but maintained its 5th position on the continent.

Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt retained their position as the continent’s top 3.
