President Bola Tinubu is set to expend a whooping sum of N100 billion to feed school children across the country in 2024.
This amount was part of the N28.7 trillion 2024 budget component that Tinubu signed on New Year day in Abuja.
Tinubu, who stated this while signing the budget, noted that the school feeding would serve as a stimulant to encourage school attendance and reduce the problem of out-of-school children.
His words: “One of the priority areas of the bill we just passed is the N100 billion provision for feeding school children. I believe that is a stimulant that will encourage enrollment and address malnutrition among school children.
“I will be meeting with local governments at sub-national levels so that we can collaborate and jointly implement an all-inclusive programme.”
