The faculty of Education, University of Ibadan has conferred a meritorious Award on the first lady of Ekiti State, Olayemi Oyebanji, for her support in the faculty.
The first lady was awarded on Monday during a Conference organised by the Faculty themed: “Creating Connections, Building Bridges: Initiating a Paradigm Shift in Education.”
Oyebanji, who felt honoured for the award, emphasised the timeliness and relevance of the conference to the current world, as the nation navigate the obstacles of the 21st century.
She said on her Twitter handle, “Yesterday, I was conferred with a meritorious award by the Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan, for my support of the Faculty.
“The award ceremony coincided with a conference organized by the Faculty, with the theme “Creating Connections, Building Bridges: Initiating a Paradigm Shift in Education.”
“I feel highly honored to have been considered for this award and I appreciate the Faculty’s leadership.
“In my remarks, I emphasized the timeliness and relevance of the conference theme to today’s world, as the nation navigates the challenges of the 21st century.”
