Benue Killings: Appreciate us, we are working – Ribadu tells Nigerians

Adebayo Adenrele

The National Security Adviser of Nigeria, Nuhu Ribadu has called on Nigerians to appreciate the current political dispensation as it navigates towards solving the insecurity issues in the country.

Ribadu said this when he visited Benue state over the recent killings in the subnational.

Addressing journalists, NSA said the country is not doing badly regarding insecurity, adding that Nigeria would soon be free from the shackles of insurgency.

His words, “Many of the countries have lost a fight against these evil people. Sudan don’t have government, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso are military governments and they face the same problem we are talking about.

“Today in our country, I believe that we’re not doing badly given the massive nature of the problem and the challenge. There is no part of Nigeria controlled by them; we have done fairly well, though we’re not yet over.

“The issue of insecurity is not an issue you can instantly address, we appeal to Nigerians to have an understanding, appreciate the fact that there are people who are working and it’s a matter of time”.
