Adebayo Adenrele

The Taliban government in Afghanistan have placed a ban on fibre optic internet in Northern Baku province of the country in order to prevent immorality.

The order, which came directly from their leader Hibatullah Akhundzada, gave room for an alternative to be built within the country for necessities.

One of the residents who pleaded anonymity, said that they noticed that they were having network connection issues and when they contacted their provider, they were told instead that it was due to technical issues..

According to the residents, the order will have a serious impact in the economy of the country because businesses who operate with associates outside the country will have no choice but to fold up and leave.
