Nigerian midfielder, Emmanuel King Okoye has died at the age of 25.
Okoye kicked the bucket while on his close-season break in Nigeria.
During a game on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, he was involved in a severe collision, falling awkwardly and striking his head on the ground.
According to witnesses, Okoye collapsed immediately and lost consciousness because of the severity of the injury.
Emergency responders on the scene acted quickly, providing urgent medical care before he was rushed to a nearby hospital but could not make it.
