Residents of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, woke up to a distressing scene on Tuesday after the decomposing body of a man believed to be mentally challenged was discovered along the popular Fajuyi Bridge.
The lifeless body, which residents say had been lying at the scene for a day before it was noticed, reportedly caused discomfort to commuters, traders and residents within the vicinity, many of whom had to cover their noses or take alternative routes to avoid the stench.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was hit by a vehicle, which claimed his life immediately.
