The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned three persons before a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, for allegedly assaulting one Ogunleye Bamidele.

The defendants are Olanipekun Tosin, 30; Azeez Ayodeji, 56 and Adeyinka Muritala, 50.

The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants allegedly conspired to commit felony on September 17, 2026, at about 4pm in Awo-Ekiti, within the Igede-Ekiti Magisterial District.

Oriyomi said the offences contravened Sections 186 and 421 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Counsel to the defendants, Blessing Falaye urged the court to grant them bail, assuring that they would not jump bail and would provide credible sureties.

In his ruling, the Chief Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun granted each of the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

The court adjourned the case until November 6, 2026, for further hearing.
