Ekiti APC Stalwart, Fasae cautions against attacks on FCT Minister, Wike

By Rotimi Idris

Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Akin Fasae, has called on party members to embrace unity and desist from attacking the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, stressing that the party should welcome all individuals working toward the success of President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on the recent political tensions, Fasae argued that internal disagreements should not lead to discrimination against allies, whether or not they are formal members of the APC.

The APC Chieftain maintained that Wike, who is a bigwig of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), contributing positively to the party’s objectives and supporting Tinubu deserves acceptance.

He emphasized that political inclusiveness and strategic cooperation are essential for the party’s stability ahead of 2027 general elections, adding that focus should be on consolidating support rather than fueling divisions through public disputes.

His words, “Why should we attack Wike? We should not attack Wike. If you are not against us then you are for us. Everybody cannot agree with everybody at the same time, anybody who is interested in working for our party (APC) and Jagaban should not be sidelined and discriminated.

“Either the man is in our party or not, since we know that that person is working for us and for the success of our party, definitely we should embrace such person.

“We should stop all these balablu being generated especially in the press, we should run away from all those things in the press so that there will be peace, what is important to us is that we should do all things possible to make sure that president Bola Tinubu come back peacefully, three should no more chaos as it happened in 2023”.
