A Senior ISWAP commander, Abou Aisha has been killed during a failed terrorist assault on troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Pulka, Borno State.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that terrorists advancing from the Sambisa axis launched coordinated night attacks on Pulka and Mandaragirau on Feb 14, 2026 but the troops held their ground, inflicted heavy casualties and forced the attackers into retreat.
Follow-up exploitation along the Kimba axis revealed blood trails, shallow graves and abandoned equipment, confirming significant enemy losses.
While no troop fatality was recorded in Pulka, some soldiers and Civilian JTF members paid the supreme price in Mandaragirau after a multi-pronged ISWAP attack was successfully repelled.
Operation HADIN KAI says clearance and exploitation operations continue across the theatre as pressure mounts on terrorist networks in the North East.
