Suspected Bandits have abducted four members of the same family in Babanla community, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday while the victims were working on their farmland on the outskirts of Babanla.
According to multiple sources, the armed men invaded the farmland, firing sporadically into the air before rounding up members of the family.
A source familiar with the incident disclosed that the assailants initially seized five persons but later released an elderly man, while taking away four other members of the family to an unknown destination.
The source further explained that the victims had gone to the farm as part of their regular daily activities when the gunmen struck.
“It is true that they abducted four family members. They were kidnapped on their farmland this morning.
“They came suddenly and surrounded them. The elderly man was later freed, but four others were taken away by the bandits,” the source added.
The identities of the abducted victims had yet to be officially confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
However, the state police command had yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
